 B and D Foods was founded in 1972 ...
... to supply its Signature Finger steak to a chain of fast food restaurants. Since 1972 the company has grown and expanded to include several size and batter varieties of Finger steaks, Pork Nuggets, and a variety of chicken products.
In 2006, the Company underwent a change in ownership and recapitalization. This allowed the Company to make several significant changes in the way it did business, including a renewed emphasis on providing superior customer service at a competitive cost, adding new equipment to improve quality and consistency, expanding employee training programs and expanding the product line to further serve the needs of our customer base.
The manufacturing facility is fully inspected by the USDA. USDA personnel work closely with B and D management, implementing the latest food safety techniques to insure that our products are ready for your table.
B and D Foods implemented a radical new cooking process, enabling it to produce fully cooked, battered items. With this new process, B and D Foods introduced a Tempura line of products that has been nationally recognized. Using this Tempura line, the Company took the steps necessary to form strategic alliances with grocery store chains and distributors throughout the United States.
In the meantime, the Company has never lost sight of the core foodservice business, which continues to expand and improve. B and D Foods actively participates in foodservice distributors’ marketing programs and food shows. In addition, B and D Foods has an active private label program for several distributors.
